2	Similarities and differences between the Turkish alphabet and American standard pronunciation of the english language will be studied. Focus on consonants.
3	To learn the İnternational phonetic alphabet for American english ,focusing on consonant sounds and their symbols.Textbook: page 11-13.
4	The international phonetic alphabet will be studied focusing on vowel sounds and their symbols . Textbook: page 12-13 ,31-38.
5	Devision of syllables when singing compared to spoken english will be learned. Textbook : page 26-27.
6	Focus on the front vowels in American standard pronunciation. Textbook: pages 43-58. Tongue twister exercises will be introduced.
7	To understand when to use and how to pronounce the “schwa vowel”, mixed vowels and the r colored vowel. Textbook :pages 70 -74. Continuation of tongue twister exercises.
8	Diphthongs and triphthongs will be studied .Textbook : pages 79-92.
9	Introduction to affricates,aspirants,nasal and lateral consonants.Textbook:pages115-135,141-151.
10	More exercises speaking the voiced and unvoiced “th”. Textbook :pages 157-163.
11	Drills and spoken exercises for the nasal consonants.Textbook:pages 167-175.
12	Learn the differences between British Received Pronunciation and the American Standard pronunciation.Textbook : pages 214-237.Lyrics from the musical “My Fair Lady” will be studied.
