Dersin amacı metinlerarasılık durumunu dışlayıcı söylemleri yapıbozuculuğa uğratan, ötekilerin büyük ölçüde yok sayılan öyküleri için yer açan bir araç olarak tartışmaktır. Öğrenciler öncelikle metinlerarasılık kuramıyla tanıştırılır, sonra da çeşitli metinlerarasılık durumunu gösteren bazı postmodern yapıtlar tartışlır.

Ders öğrencilere metinlerarasılık kuramını tanıtır ve arametinler içerip kimlik politikası ve yazarın ideolojilerle arasındaki bağ gibi konuları tartışan metinler analiz edilir.
