Dersin amacı İngiliz edebiyat geleneğinde kadın şair figürünü incelemektir. Özellikle bir kadın şairin göreve getirilmesinin neden neredeyse 350 yıl sürdüğü sorusunu soruyoruz.

19. yüzyıldan 21. yüzyıla kadar farklı kökenlerden gelen, farklı estetik ve politik ilkelere sahip çok sayıda kadın şair incelenecek ve eserleri analiz edilecektir.

Sunum yoluyla öğretim, doğrudan anlatım, örnekleme, soru-cevap, tartışma, buluş yoluyla öğretim. Yoğun sınıf tartışmalarının takip ettiği dersler; sözlü sunum; kağıt; ara sınav ve final sınavı.
