Dersin Amacı

This course is designed for PhD students in Computer Engineering who are expected to develop, analyze, and transform technological knowledge into innovation-driven value creation. The primary aim of the course is to provide students with a conceptual, analytical, and practical understanding of innovation, technology, and management, and how these domains interact within knowledge-based economies and technology-intensive environments. The course introduces fundamental questions such as what innovation is, how technology evolves, how innovation and technology can be systematically managed, and how technological ideas can be transformed into commercially viable products or services. Special emphasis is placed on technology-driven entrepreneurship, commercialization strategies, and overcoming the “Valley of Death” between research and market adoption. By the end of the course, students will be able to design innovation strategies grounded in technological capabilities, evaluate commercialization pathways, perform basic financial and market feasibility analyses, and position their research within broader innovation ecosystems
