This course presents the fundamentals of qualitative research methods. The course has the aims of equipping students with the basic knowledge of doing qualitative research through mainly participatory student-centered and practice-oriented approach.
Students shell learn to design, carry out, report, read and evaluate qualitative research projects. First, students will learn how to develop an ethical and in tersectional research design, collect data using qualitative methods including interviews, focus groups, participant observation, survey, oral history, prosopography, text, space and image analysis.
Lectures introduce the main conceptual and practical issues through student presentations, seminars, field trips and field research will provide practical experience with the methods.
