The aim of this course is to introduce students to the fundamental principles and concepts of insurance law and the main types of insurance contracts. The course also aims to provide students with a basic understanding of the legal framework governing insurance contracts and the rights and obligations of the parties.

The course covers the fundamental principles and concepts of insurance law, including the formation and interpretation of insurance contracts, the rights and obligations of the parties, insurable interest, disclosure and misrepresentation, insurance coverage, and the main types of insurance. The legal principles governing claims and the liability of insurers will also be examined.

Lectures, class discussions, case studies and analysis of relevant legal materials, including insurance policies, legislation and court decisions.
