Tarım yeryüzündeki bölgesel farklılık ve benzerlikleri en iyi yansıtan ekonomik faaliyettir. Böylece de yeryüzünde geniş bölgelerin oluşmasında büyük rol oynamaktadır. Bu bölgelerin analizi ve Türkiye ile karşılaştırmaların yapılması dersin amacını oluşturmaktadır.
